Abstract

Jan Amos Komensky who lived between 16. and 17. century in Europe. As a modernist educator and reformist, he was contribute to modern education system. He brought many innovations on the education in Europe where Thirty Year Wars taken place at that time. However, importance of his education system wasn’t understand clearly his lived age. The Great Didactica, which is the most comprehensive books about education written by Komensky, systematically explain his educational views. He made important studies about art education, language education, teacher education etc. The aim of this research examining is to Jan Amos Komensky and his education views. In order to accomplish this aim literature examining, pass an opinion on Jan Amos Komensky’s views on education and explained why he is so important figure for history of education and modern education.
