ASSESSMENTS ON MALATYA'S SUSTAINABLE URBAN DEVELOPMENT WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF FACTORS AFFECTING THE URBAN DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

Abstract

There are many factors that affect the development of cities. These can be considered as geographical factors and human factors. In addition, the sustainability of the development of cities is closely related to the same factors. In this research, which deals with the urban development of the city of Malatya, the factors affecting the development of the city and the parameters of sustainable development were discussed together and the sustainable development status of Malatya was evaluated. Malatya has been evaluated separately in the context of economic, environmental and social factors, which are accepted as sustainable urbanization parameters. - It has been seen that it is not in very good places in terms of renewable energy sources and traffic density, which are considered as the appearance of economic dimensions.
