Abstract

The aim of this article is devoted to the study of the Works on musical instruments of distinguished Islamic philosophers that lived in the 10th-17th centuries, in theNear and Middle East. As a rule, medieval East is a temporary segment of the main events in musical culture, theoretical works and a series of articles in the music field. İn the works of the great Islamic philosophers, rich and detailed information related to the aesthetic, philosophical and practical aspects of music are accesible. In Works the questions of frets, intervals and rhythm are discussed, from the point of view of philosophy and theory of music, also there is information about tuning, method of playing and classification of musical instruments. As is known, in the era of ancient culture in the scientific classification music took place among arithmetic sciences. The doctrine of science and art began in the ancient Greek civilization, in the Middle Ages widely spread in the east, in the course of development passed to Europe The purpose of this work is to identify and evaluate research on musical instruments in the Near and Middle East. This work was carried out on a comparative historical method, an analysis of archival, library and book materials.
