WORKPLACE SAFETY MANAGEMENT DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC INCREASING JOB INSECURITY OF EMPLOYEES WITH ITS PRACTICES IMPACT ON ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR

Purpose: The purpose of this study is determined as examining the effect of workplace safety management practices and job insecurity on organizational citizenship behaviour during Covid-19 pandemic. Methodology/Approach: Quantitative research method was used in the study. In research, primary data was collected from 547 participants via survey form. Gathered data was analysed through SPSS 23.0 package program. Findings: According to the findings of the research made during Covid-19 pandemic, there is low-level, positive and significant effect of workplace safety management practices and job insecurity on organizational citizenship behaviour during Covid-19. Practical Implications: Providing workplace safety and giving job security for employees in order for employees to display organizational citizenship behaviour during Covid-19 is an important topic. Originality/Value: The study is one of the original studies in literature. Hence, Covid-19 is a very new phenomenon and there is need for making scientific studies about Covid-19 process. In this study, due to identifying the effect of workplace safety management practices and job insecurity on organizational citizenship behaviour, both the findings would make important contribution to the literature and would guide the researchers who want to make similar studies in the future.
