IN THE WORLD OF FARABI'S THOUGHTS CONNECTION OF RELIGION AND PHILOSOPHY

Abstract

When it comes to Islamic philosophy, of course, many names come to mind. Among these names, however, Abu Nasr Muhammad bin Muhammad bin Tarhan bin Uzlug Al-Farabi is a creater of Islamic philosophy and at the same time has a special significance in terms of ideas and works. Within the history of humanity, religion and philosophy come close to each other as disciplines. Because these two disciplines are trying to understand, interpret and transmit the universe, the possibilities of man and man. Even if there are methodological differences between them, they are seeking answers to commo n questions. In this context, according to Farabi, the acts of religion must be considered within the framework of all religions and it is possible to give this in terms of universal view of philosophy. In this study, it will be discussed how Farabi, who is in the tradition of Islamic philosophy, establishes a link between philosophy and religion in his philosophical thoughts. In the frame that will be drawn in the article, we will try to examine what kind of existence philosophy has in Islamic thought, how it has a place and how Farabi handled it.
